WHAT
An online program specially created for athletes that will compete in the World Championships in Las Vegas, May 14th 2022.
This plan has been tested twice: As Tiago’s own preparation for the World Championships in Leipzig and as a plan for more than 25 athletes during the preparation for Hyrox Madrid with very good results.
It has now been thoroughly analyzed, reviewed and adapted.
FOR WHO
It can be followed by any athlete interested in developing the physical abilities necessary to succeed in a Hyrox or other hybrid event.
It can also be a very interesting complement to CF athletes that want to improve endurance.
CONCEPT
A 16 week program focusing on Hyrox. Competition prep for athletes that have a good base condition or are used to workout at least 3-4x/week.
The plan has strength specific pieces; Metabolic conditioning and endurance monostructural work; mixed and functional training and specific competition prep workouts; You will also find tactics and strategy tips along with the workouts.
There will be 5-6 training days/week, depending on the preparation stage. Some days might have 2 separate workouts (important only for Elite athletes).
The plan is made for individual athletes. Nevertheless, if you will compete in doubles it will help you improve. Please note that no specific adaptations will be made.
If you compete in doubles or if you have any specific limitations or need you will have to adapt the workouts.
REQUIREMENTS
Access to a CF box/gym or to functional training equipment.
Ideally: Concept 2 Row and Sky Erg; Sled; Barbell, weights and squat rack; KB´s or DB´s; WallBall;
Also: Press Bench; Rope to climb; jump box; Sandbag;
LANGUAGE
All the workouts and training indications will be in English.
SUPPORT
You will have access to a Whatsapp Group.
One group in Portuguese.
One group in English.
You can share and ask generic and specific questions related to the training plan and workouts. The aim of the group is not to answer individualized/personalized questions.
ACCESS
The weekly plan will be made available on Sunday evening (9 pm GMT Time); All the weekly plans will remain available until the last day of the program.
